   PERSONALITY

Today we went to another session with the man and his name was Petia. This was the second to last session with Petia.

When it started we had to go room 11 because in the hall there was something happening in the hall. In the hall it gymnastics happening for the junior kids.

When it started he was talking about what personality was and he asked us if we have ever heard someone say if you have a nice personality. I put my hand up because I hear heaps of people saying that to nie people.

When that finished he put up some shapes and there was and triangle, square, circle, rectangle, squiggle. He told us to go in to group with the shape we liked.

After we got into groups he told us to choose a leader and we choose Fusi to be a leader. Then all the leaders had to stand in the front and hen Petia gave them a card with our shape name on it and our shape was squiggle.

Next it had words on it and we had to say what which one that was related to use and the one I was related to was getting bored. Another one that I was related to was getting distracted easily.

The next thing we did was all the groups had to go to the front and say the words on the list then Peia will tell us what all of that meant.

Last of all we had to sit on the ground and then Petia was talking about the cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He was talking about their personalities and then when that finished he told us that he was going to draw someone that has a sidekick and he has all of the personality. It was Batman.

ANZAC CEREMONY

Today when school started all the class had to go to the front of the school because our school was doing a Anzac ceremony for the people that died in the war for use people. This ceremony was a very special thing to our school.

When we got down to the front of the school we were the first to go to the front of the school. We had to stand at the back because we were the oldest in the school then. It took a while to for the classes to get to the front of the school for the ceremony.

After the class have arrived I felt so hot because the sun was so hot then. When all the class arrived to the front that's when Mrs Elia started to talk about what we were going to do for the ceremony.

When it started we had to stand up and sing a song that was called he honore. After that finished we sat on the ground and listen to the man from army. His name Jeffrey. He was talking more about what happened in the war. When he finished that we were singing a song that they sing that was called for the fallen.

When that finished that was when the people put the cross on in the ground with the people names that died in the war. It was a time where all the kids in the school had to not talk because it was meant to be a silent time.

Next thing we did was listen to the last post. The last post is when they play the trumpet thing at the end of each ceremony. It was another time we had to be silent. It was kind of a cool song to listen to.

Last of all we went in to the hall to ask Mr Left Lieutenant Jeffrey. We had a long time asking questions to him about the army.

This is the poem that we had to say:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

ANZAC REPORT

This year we are celebrating the 100th year of Anzac. This is the biggest celebration ever because this is the 100th year ever since the New Zealand and Australians went to war in 1914.

The reason why we celebrate Anzac day is because that was the day when New Zealand troops die in the war for our country. Also the day when the service men and woman came back to New Zealand.

World war one started with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife on June the 24 1914. Austria-Hungary was able to promise Germany to start a war with a possibility chance to make Russia join the war.

In the war the people were only allowed to eat hard crackers made with flour, salt and water. The meat that they were eating in the war was salted pork, bacon or beef soaked with potassium.

In the first world war Turkey was one of the most destructive country that was there. They were also in the war to protect their homeland from getting blown for all the other county's that were in the war too.

In the war the kind of injury that they got was toes that was cut. Also they got injured by stepping on mine in the ground and getting shot in the stomach and in other places. The other way that they get hurt is by the other side throwing grenades and exploding in there face.

RESPECT POSTER

RESPECT OTHERS	Respecting others is when you don’t get angry to other people and help them another way of respecting others is by being nice to them
RESPECT PROPERTY	Respecting property is when your not snapping school property and playing with them the right way. Another way to respect property is to be nice to it and treat it like it is your own property.
RESPECT OURSELVES	Respect ourselves by keeping our self clean and eating the right food so you can be nice and healthy. Be nice to others
RESPECT THE TEACHERS	Respecting the teachers is helping them when they need help and also when they tell you to do something you got to do it.
RESPECT LEARNING	Respecting learning is when you go on holidays and you keep doing work and when your in class you do nothing but your work.

REFLECTION ON WORLD WAR 1 and 2

I have learnt lots of information about the world war 1 and 2.

Yesterday we were watching A video about world war 1. The video was full of information about the world war 1. Some of the information was talking about were the New Zealand and Australia were going to land there bouts on the beach. The other thing it was talking about was when they were in the war and how there was heaps of people that were dead.

Today we were watching a video about world war 2.

The video that we were watching today about a video on world war 2. It was about the Japanese witch was fighting all the Pacific island. Thats when New Zealand  and Australia came to help the islands to fight back to keep there land safe.

ANZAC

Today I learnt some facts about Anzac. Here are the things I found out about Anzac.

Anzac is an army of NZ and Australia army corps.The corps were created in the great war of 1914. In December 1914 new zealand and Australia were under the command of lieutenant general William Birdwood. We celebrate Anzac on the 25 of April because thats when New Zealanders were killed and that when the New Zealand service people came back from war.The red poppy flower Is now a symbol to show that we care about the people that went to war from New Zealand.

HOLIDAY

In the holidays I mostly stayed home and cleaned the house with my brother and my dad while my sister and mum were working. The places we had to clean where our rooms. It was a little bit hard to clean because there was a lot of mess in my room.

When I was cleaning with my brother my dad told me to clean the lounge when I finish cleaning my room. After I finish cleaning my room I cleaned up the lounge and vacuumed the floor till it was clean then thats when I could watch T.V or play on the game.

Once I finished cleaning everything my dad let me watch T.V and I was watching T.V for a long time.My dad was in his room with is netbook doing something.While I was watching T.V my brother took the remote and said it was his turn to watch T.V.

After my brother took the remote off of me I went and got my netbook and checked if Mrs Tofa put the blogging site was on so that I can blog.When I checked the site the blogging site was on and Keti and Aarmione was Already started there blogging and they have done heaps off blogging. When I saw them blogging I started blogging and I did heaps then I stopped.

I stopped blogging because I had to go with my brother to my cousins house to sleep over because my dad had a meeting and my mum was working and my sister so I went to there house.When we got to there house I was playing on there P.S.3 and the games that he had was WWE 13 and Tekken 6.

Last of all when It came to night time my untie wanted to watch Hunger games and it was kinda fun because the episode we watch was the one where they had to go into the forest and they have to survive in the  forest.When it finished we were playing on the P.S.3 till like 4 in the morning and it was cool.

RECOUNT

Today I got up and I was watching t.v because it was only about 6.00 in the morning. It was kinda cool to watch t.v when no one is a wake because they don't bother u while you a watch you favorite shows our cartoons.

When it just hit 7.00 I had to go and wake up my sister because she was working. When I woke her up i had to do brush my hair, wash my face then go and put some clean cloths on so I won't look bad. While I was getting ready I went and got some food to eat.

When we were all ready we had to drive to the city because she was working for a company called spark. It took a long time to get there because there was along cue to the city and it was so long.

Last of all when we took her to her work we came back home and I fall asleep then got up and now I am writing this. It is cool to blog so you can share your work with other people  and you can get heaps of views.

READING LOG

On the last day of Term 1 we have been given a reading log so that our reading will say high up and not down low. It has been hard for me because I have been all over the place this holiday. 

It has been so good to be reading some books in the holiday. It helps me to stay on the level I want to stay on.

MATHS WORD PROBLEM 2

Here is my second word problem for two day. Today's word problem is a little bit not that hard for me.

Here's the question-Tammy drove 55 miles in one hour. At that rate, how far can she drive in 36 hours? The answer to that will be 1980 because 55 x 36  = 1980.

RECOUNT

Today Sunday the 12 of April I have went to church with my family and it was a lot of fun because I have learnt a lot about Jesus today.

In church I have went tot he Sunday school in church were all the kids in the church go to when the parents a in the building listening to the pastier talk. In the Sunday school i have been playing with all the other kids and it has been a lot of fun.

Last of all  we cam home fast because my sister was going with her mentor to university to learn. We a waiting at home for her because we will be going to my nana's house to say with her and to give her some time to spend with her.

WORD PROBLEM 12/4/15

Today I have been looking at this word problem and it was that hard.

Ellen went to a garage sale to buy chairs. Each chair cost 15 dollars. How much money did Ellen spend for the 12 chairs she bought?

This is how I worked it out-12 x 15 = 180 because if the chair cost 15 and she had bough 12 so it has to be 180

GOOD FRIDAY

On Good Friday i have went to the beach with my family and also i have been eating a lot and it has been heaps of fun.

When we have went to the beach it was a lot of fun because when we went I was running around on the park and also playing at the park. At the park i was playing with my cousins and swinging on the flying fox and playing tag.

After that I went pack to the beach to go and swim but my cousins were all ready a head of me so I ran and got changed as fast as i can then jumped in to the beach and started swimming around and around till i got tired.

Last of all I went to jump of the big canoe because there was a canoe. When i got up I went down to the end and I told my cousin that i was going to jump of but, then he said that no i will jump first then off he went in to the water. Then came a long was me into the the water and then my mum told me to get out because we were going to home because it was late night

HOLIDAYS

In the holidays i have been mostly staying home helping with the cleaning around the house. We have also been going to the beach and having fun with the family.

The first week of the holidays is pretty fun and also cool to play with the family. The first week has been so much fun and yet still to come the last week of the holidays. This is the best first week because I have been cleaning and playing with the family.

Last of all i want to say that the people that a having fun in there holidays are cool because it really is the best week this holiday.

MALAMA HONUA

On 26 of march we went to Pt England Reserve to welcome a waka that came all the way from Hawaii to New zealand. On there boat there were no engines on the boat. All they used was the boat was a sail and paddles to move around. Once they arrived they all came to the sand and standed there and that when were were singing the song called He Hono re, E OHO and NGA WAKA. After we sang the songs we went and shock there hands then walked back to school.

KIWI CAN

Today we went to kiwi can once Morning tea finished.Join morning tea Mrs Tuia told us to line up outside when morning tea is finished.

Once it came to the end of morning tea I had to go and tell all the other people from the other side to come and line up on the side where the chairs were because we were going to do the kiwi can outside.When we were all outside where the chairs.

The leaders told us what we were going to do  today. Thee first thing we did was a game and it was called make the letters. The game goes like this when the leader calls out a letter we have to make it in our little group.

Our group had a winning streak till the last letters they said because the girls won.After that they said that we had sit on the ground and say the catch Thrace from last week.

After that they said that we had to play other game that was called code breaker. In.In the game we had to cooperate and team work and when we get the letter that's when we get part to the catch phrase.

MATHS

The question that the teacher gave us for maths was this.

Piri, Maia and Ollie are planning to make pikelets for the afternoon tea. The recipe needs 3/4 cup of milk to make a batch of 25 pikelets. How many cups will the need to make 100 Pikelets?

DINOSAUR

This term we have been learning heaps about dinosaurs. For all this research we have been told to make a presentation  to show to the school. For the Presentation my group has been doing a picture with the names of the dinosaurs on top and then we mix it up, then the students have to match the names of the dinosaurs to the pictures.

For the older students in the senior school we have made a facts list and they have to match the correct fact to the dinosaur.

I am glad we have learnt about dinosaurs because I have not learnt about them before. 

TERM 1 REFLECTION

This term we have been learning alot about Reading, Maths and Writing.We have had a lot of fun learning about all these kind of topics this term.

The first sport that was on was cricket. Cricket was kind of hard for me because I didn't really get cricket that much.These sport were on every Tuesday. The next sport that the school has let us do was touch. Touch was a little bit more understandable for me because it is kinda like rugby but instead you have to touch the opposite team.Touch is the best sport for me this term.

The good things that has happened to use this term is getting to play outside at morning tea with my friend and getting to go on trips with them.The good trips I have been on is going to Butterfly Creek. It was a lot of fun to go and explore with all my friends.

The next thing we did was go to the cricket game. The teams we watched was Pakistan and South Africa. It was alot of fun.

Last thing we did was go to the life caravan, the life caravan was so full with knowledge. In the life caravan we learn lots about what drugs can do to you and  what are the changes that can happen to you in your life.

In class we have been learning heaps about maths, reading and writing. We have learnt heaps this term with the teacher this year and her name is Mrs Tofa. It was lots of fun to learn this term.

In Kiwi Can we have been learning about being kind to others. We also learnt that we have to help others when they are down. We also learnt that we have to show positive communication to others when we are talking to others so that they know we are being nice

In Madd we have been learning to stop being learning to stop bulling others and how we have heaps of different smarts. The other thing that we were talking about was when we have talent and skills. The teacher who is Mr Petia said that talent is different to skills because skills is what you learn and talent is what you were born with.

MADD WORKSHOP

On Tuesday the 1st of April we went to the hall to do another session with the people at the MADD workshop.This workshop was more about helping us to improve and encourage use about our self. It was held in the hall.

Today we were learning mostly about the talent that we have in ourselves. He was talking about people that were born with talent.  He was also talking about the skills and what the difference between  skills and talent.

Mr Petia said that the difference between talents and skills is that talent is what you were born with and skills is what you learn when you grow up and you get good and at that thing you were wanting to be your whole life.

The next thing he was talking was about what 10,000 means. Most of us were thinking it was the time but it was incorrect. Petia said that 10,000 means when you are training for along time and you get good that thing you were wanting to do.

The next thing he was talking about was to not be afraid when you make mistakes because when you make mistakes you learn from them. He asked us what what mistake meant to use and most of the people were saying that we can learn for them and do better the next time we try.

The last card he was talking about was when we showed use the thing and it said that NO is Knowledge. It means to say No to people and say try next time.

After that he sent use to do a little play and our group was talking about playing rugby and the message in that was to make mistakes and learn from them.

Last of all we came back and he was drawing Wonder Woman and it was cool because he was playing a song called happy and it was so awesome. He gave use the drawing so we can hang it up in the class to make it look cool.
