What was World war 1 - WW1

World War 1 started because of the assassinations of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, on June 28th 1914. Austria-Hungary was able to secure the promise and aid it in a war with Serbia and Russia alongside. Archduke Franz Ferdinand  was the Archduke of Austria-Este. The murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand led to an outbreak of civil war because he was assassinated by a Serbian Nationalists. When Germany, Austria-Hungary,  Russia and Serbia were fighting other countries and nations such as Britain. Britain became involved to help their allies.

New Zealand and Australia joined forces to help Britain fight the Turks. They landed in Gallipoli to fight the Turks because that's where they were based. They also went to Gallipoli to fight for freedom.

There was one big event that made war start and that was the assassination of Archduke Franz ferdinand. This rebellious War happened because of the many several things that happened in the early 1900’s. Firstly there was the role of the empires, Great Britain, Germany, Austria-Hungary and Russia. In which they were fighting for about four years.

In World War 1 the locations of the wars started at Europe, Africa, the Middle East and last but not least Asia. There also was one place where New Zealanders and Australians landed in which was in Gallipoli, fighting against the Turks for FREEDOM.
