This story is about a family docking the sheep.
First Aunt Mollie pulled the cover off Mikey and the narrator. Then Aunt Mollie, Uncle Tama, Mikey and the narrator got their docking gear ready for docking the sheep.
Then the family left in their old van for the paddocks that was near the sea. When the family got to the field where the sheep were, they started to dock the sheep but the sheep made a lot of noise so they had to scream at each other.
Next, when the all the sheep came down, they heard a noise coming from the the top of the hill and it was the chocolate truck. The chocolate truck rolled over and hit a tree. Then the family went and help the chocolate truck driver collect all the boxes of chocolate that had fallen of the truck. While they were helping the truck driver, Aunt Mollie was getting the picnic ready.
The characters in the story is Mollie,Mikey,Tama and the chocolate truck driver.
This story takes place on a sheep farm that was near the sea.
I liked this story because it tells us about how docking is done and about life on a sheep farm.

Lees Than one Second
WALT review stories we read
This article is about Ashley and Shiree who are having are slot race.
The car weighs less than 150 grams each. The race lasts less than a second! Ashley and Shiree are the only children competing in the annual slot car Drag Racing Nationals in Nelson.
They are competing in races against each other as well as against adult racers. All the races are run as a best of three”. You have three chances to get the fastest time. At the start of a race, the racers line up in twos beside the drag strip.
Above them is a TV screen. The racers have to watch the screen for a green light. As soon as the green light flashes on, each racer presses down on their handheld control button to start the car.
They need to have a very fast reaction time. If they start their car before the green light comes on, a red light flashes. This means that they are disqualified for that race.
Within a split second, the cars can reach speed up to 193 Kilometers per hour. Times are recorded on the computer. They are accurate to a thousandth of a second.
The track is 12.8 metres long. The world record for the fastest slot car drag race over this distance is .448. In that race, the car reached a speed of 222 kilometers per hour
The characters in the Ashley,Shiree and the adults
I like this story because it has heaps of cars.

Story Review
Centre Stage By Kenn Benn
The story is about Donna who was going to perform in front of the school.
The characters in the story are Donna, Alice, Tama and Mr Warner.
The story takes place at school.
The main problem was the stage because Tama and Alice did not turn the stage properly.
The characters solved the problem because Tama used a felt tip pen to mark the stage’s starting point. The thing I like about the story is that the stage turns.
