kiwican

Today we had Kiwi can. Kiwi can was different because Miss Tuia and Mr Nomia were not here because of personal reasons. So we had another teacher and his name was Afutoto. He was a cool teacher. He taught us all about goal setting. He told us to practice our goals. Our topic this term is resilience and our topic was goal setting for the next 3 weeks. It was a great day.

Volleyball

Today we had a session with a lady named Antonia. She was teaching us how to play volleyball. The first skill she taught us was how to hit the ball. She said you have to put your left over your right hand. The next skill she taught us was the set. You have to make a circle and hit the ball like that. It was fun because me and my friend Moses went for a long time. Last skill Toni taught us was how to spike. Now spiking was kinda cool because we got to smash the ball. Toni said that we had to take 1 small step and then 1 big step. Ten you have to jump up and spike the ball.

Last of all we played a volleyball game. Tony split the class in to 4 groups. The group that I was in was group 3. Our group was good because our team knew what we were doing. The first team we versed was team 4. I don't know who won in that game. The next team we versed was team 2. I had to join team 2 because one of their players didn't want to play. When I joined their team their team started to play properly. Toni said that we need to work on our listening skills. We also needed to work on getting to the teacher on time.

Current Event Quiz

Today there has been a very sad incident that had happen. A 70 year old lady has died while she was crossing the road. When she was crossing the road a car had hit her.

Science

Today we did an science experiment with our teacher Miss Stone. Miss Stone gave us a little jar and a balloon and we had to cut the balloon so it can cover the jar. After that we put sugar on top and we had to hum and see if the sugar will move.

But it was still not confirm that the air or sound moved the sugar.

Today had probably been one of the most amazing day for me because we came first out of all of Auckland.It was a really good game because the other team were trying there best to stay in the game.

I liked this day because I got picked to go to the Auckland reps trials. This is the best opportunity I will be getting in a long time. This has been an really fun day.

Term 2

Term 2 had been and awesome and wonderful term for me and my class. We have been learning alot in all our subjects.

During term 2 we had a group called kiwi can come to your school every Thursday to teach us about what being a leader of the school is. They have also been teaching is to respect teachers and people that you talk to or know. The thing I liked that they teached  us was fair play. Fair play means you don't get angry if you lose a game and when you win a game you don't put people down. The thing I liked about Kiwi Can is that they teach you about your responsibility of being the leaders of the school.

This term had been a great time because we got to learn in maths, reading and writing. These are the subjects we do in out schools. To me I have been learning a lot in reading, writing and maths. Sometimes I would be so excited to take reading because reading my best subject.

Last of all I liked to play sports every morning. The sports always got me because they get you really pumped to run and got me really sweaty. I had sweat really hard.  This term was a lot of fun now term 3. I AM READY!!

Volcano Experiment

Today we did a volcano experiment.

In this experiment we used baking soda, Vinegar and dish washing liquid. It was cool because the volcano exploded but it came out as slow as a snail. We tried putting more  baking soda but it didn't make a different. Then we tried less Vinegar.

The reason why baking soda and vinegar react is because carbon dioxide molecule. The bubbles forth gas.
