Netball

Today we had another session  netball. This session was fun because we got to learn more about netball. First we had a game called shadow follow. In this game you had to follow your partner and while there walking we ta there shoulder and then they turn around. When they turn around you have to get back 0.9 meters away from the other guy. That was alot of fun.

After tat we had a game that was called Intercept activity. In this game you had intercept the ball while the 2 people were throwing the ball.That game was a lot of fun to play because you can hit the ball from the other players hand when they throw the ball.

The next activity was four corner attack. This game was fun because the caller had to say a number between one and four. Then the person in the middle had to run to that number and get the ball then pass back. Then it got challenging because a defender came in and started to block the person in the middle.That was fun

Last of all we had a real game that was called Shooting game. Anne gave us numbers from 1 to 13 (I was 13). Anne called my number our first. Then I would have to run to the middle and get the ball, pass it the first guy in the team. Then I run into the circle and wait till they pass the ball to the end of the line then they pass the ball to me. Then I will shoot the ball in the hoop. This game was a lot of fum.

NETBALL

Today we had a session of netball for kiwi sport with a lady called Annie. She was teaching us how to jump and catch the ball and pivet. It was cool because we had a game after that and it was called Rugby netball. The rules to this game was the same as netball but you start of in a line out and when you get a goal you don't shot the ball you throw the ball down into a box. It goal was to get ten points. It was really fun.

Sharing Lollies

           We are learning to identify equivalent fractions

Maara and her three friends are going to share a licorice lace. If the lace is 12cm long, what length of the lace will each friend get? What fraction will they get? 1/4

Today we video a script  about our recount from our trip to Arataki. It was really cool because we learnt a lot of facts about the Arataki forest.

Best Holiday

This holiday was a lot of fun because I went to a family meeting. At the family meeting all my family was there. I got to meet up with all my aunts, uncles and cousins.The meeting was about our house in the island.

The meeting was cool because all the kids went outside to play rugby.The kids were` playing since 12.00 in the morning till 4.00 in the afternoon. While all the kids were playing rugby, all the adults were inside talking.

In the middle of our rugby game the adults called us inside to come and eat. All the kids rushed inside to eat because all the kids were really hungry.The food that was there were really nice,also there was a lot of ice cream. After all that eating all the kids went back outside to play some more games. The food was really nice. It made me feel really full.

When all the boys came out they said if we want to go to the beach and we said yes. So all the boys jumped in the car, then drove off to the beach. The beach we went to was Mission Bay. The beach was packed with people so we went to the wharf. All the boys started to jump off. It was the best time ever.

There was 1 little problem. And that was someone got cut in the leg and was crying. So we took him to the car and put a plaster on his foot. Then he stayed out of the water for the rest of the time. All the boys were mocking by jumping in the water in front of his face. My cousin was feeling really sad. To me I felt really sorry for him.

Last of all everyone went back to their houses and had a rest. It was a really long day for all of us adults and kids.

Chocolate maths

Yesterday we were left with six chocolate bars split between 13 children. How much chocolate would each child get. 6/13

Mrs Stone didn't feel like chocolate today. How much chocolate would each child receive if there a seven children. 7/13

There were suppose to be 14 children in our group, how chocolate would children receive if there were 7 chocolate bars. 7/14

Experiment

Today we a doing a experiment. The experiment is about us putting a potato in a box and leaving a little bit of light.The potato growing depends on the light. If there is not enough light the potato will not grow. Also the potato might not grow because there is no water.

I think the potato might not grow.
