Bestfriend

As I was standing back stage waiting for my cue I saw my best friend.I haven't seen him in a long time. He was standing at the door on his phone. I told myself that when I get to the front of the cue and finished what Im doing Im going to go and talk to him.

A few minutes later...
Finally that's over with, I can go talk to Ben(Bestfriend). I went to go look for him, He was standing outside.I walked up to him and I greeted him, he greeted me back. We talked for a really time, We were talking about life and what jobs we wanted. He said he wanted to be a builder. I thought that it was a great job. He asked me what I wanted to be I said I wanted to work in the places like facebook. He said that that will be a good job.

Last of all he told me that he had to go, He wanted to go and see if he could get a job as a builder. I let him go and then he came back. A few Minutes later..... Ben walks up to me and and says I got the job. So that night we went out and celebrated.

Kiwican Reflection

This term we had 3 topics for Kiwi can Problem solving, Perseverance and Goal setting. This has helped me a lot this term.

Problem solving had me thinking about what happens in our school. In our school there is a lot of fighting that happens, so I though I might help the teacher as a leader my self to solve all the problems around the school. This has helped me by teaching me how to solve problems.

When we learnt perseverance, it has help me with a lot of school work. It made me learn to never give up on any of my school work. Also to never give up on rugby or any sport that you play.

Last of all we learnt about goal setting. When we learnt about it, it made me think about a goal that I want to reach in the future. The goal was to be the best rugby player.

Rocket

Today we had another science day. To day we made heaps of experiments. This one of the experiments we did:

Method:

1. Get a bottle

2. Put Pencils on it

3. Tape the pencils

4. Get some baking soda

5. Put the vinegar in the bottle

6. Go outside

7. Put the baking soda in the bottle

8. Close the bottle and shake it

9. Put it on the ground.

Observation:

Today we made our rocket and it didn’t fly that high. It didn’t work because we didn’t follow the instruction. Also we took a long time to put the baking soda in the bottle.

Magnet

Today we have been learning about magnets. Magnets is a very strong source of energy. When you connect it together it can stick to any thing metal. I learnt that you can stick a paper clip to your paper car and us the magnet to move it around. I also learnt that when the magnet meets north to south and south to north it is going to attract the other magnet. When they are the same, they repel each other.

Science

In room 9 we were learning about light.

Light is the fastest moving thing on earth. Without light we would not be able to see anything. Light is a strong source from the sun. The sun creates Energy and light.

Reflection is  a light that bounces of a mirror. The mirror reflects the light and bounces it off (to) in a different direction. To find out reflection you can stand in front of the mirror and you can see yourself in the mirror. That is the same as light, if you shine the light into a mirror the light comes back to you.

Refraction is when a light reflect of a prism and bends like a rainbow. Just like a rainbow. The rainbow forms when the sun shines its light when the rain comes down. The light of the sun shines into the raindrop. The raindrop acts just like a prism. When a white light shines through 7 different colours come out the other side. Just how the rainbow is formed. The sun shines through the raindrops and create a beautiful rainbow.

Colour is the property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye as a result of the way it reflects or emits light.Colour is a beautiful thing. Without colour you would not be able to see the the things we see now. Without colour everything will be black and white.

Save your money

Today we had a lesson about how and why you should save money. We need to save money so we can get the things that we want in the future. We made a list about what we want. I wanted a play station 3. Now I have to save a lot of money so I can get it. Some ways I can get money is helping out you parents, Selling some food, Trade stuff on trade me. We also learnt that We need to use our money Wisely. 

Today was a really fun day.

Writing

People a being killed by trains.Passengers should be aware of trains because trains a really quiet. We need to look at the poles that signal if a train is coming. If the signal doesn't work you still might have to look.

When you going on a train you need to make sure You got everything you need before you leave house or your car. If you do forget you got to make big decision. You also need to check if you have everything that you have with you.

When you get on the train you make sure your earphones is of because you might not see the signal or hear. You might just walk across and get bumped of by the train.

If you're are at the train station and you see the train coming and a person is about to cross, yell out to that person and say ‘’ Stop and wait for the train’’ or you could tell the security. If they don’t listen you could go and pull them back.
