RIPPER RUGBY. Session 3

Today we had another ripper rugby session. We were the first class to go up to ripper rugby today. First Matt asked us to get a a tag so we could  get started.

The first game we played was ripper rush. In this game instead of tackling it was ripping the tags of people. It was fun because there were heaps of people running and I could get heaps of them out. In one of the rounds I got bumped off.

The next thing we did was play the passing game. You had to pass the ball to your left until it gets to the end. In that I learnt that when someone is coming to get you, you pass the ball to your team mate before he comes and gets you.

After that we played a game. I don't know the name of the game but it was a 5 on 3 match. In that lesson It teaches us to draw and pass to people if they are low on numbers. It was funny because my team got everyone out and we only had 3 players.

The last game we played was white vs yellow tags. It was really fun because their team had good people and we had good people. It was a really fun game because everyone kept dropping the ball because it was slippery.

Recount About Ripper Rugby

Today we had a lesson with a coach from Varsity rugby club. His name is Matt. Matt was teaching us how to play ripper rugby. He was also going to teach us how to pass the ball properly. The coach first told us to play ball tag.  After that he asked us to get in a line to do the passing drill. In the passing drill we had to get in a line of four and then from one side there is a ball and you have to pass it down the line. Then we played Ball rush.

Ripper Rugby is a non contact game. That means you can not tackle them. Ripper rugby uses belt and tags. Ripper rugby is a very fun game to play with other schools. To get the person you have to rip the tag of the opponent.

In ripper rugby I learnt how to throw the ball at the person's hand. The person that is catching the ball has to put their hands out and then that's when you pass the ball. I also learnt to talk to others that is in your team. Talking to them helps them know when you going to pass the ball.

Today I felt really happy about Ripper rugby today. It was a really fun time.
